I am a postdoctoral researcher in mathematics at Sorbonne Université (Laboratoire Jacques-Louis Lions) from 2024. I work on Matae project on Septoria tritici Blotch on wheat plantation. My work focuses on studying the effect of rainfall using data assimilation of the legacy climate data on the fungal disease propagation.
I received my Ph.D. in Applied Mathematics from Iowa State University, USA. My research was driven by a strong interest in understanding complex phenomena arising in biological and agricultural systems through the lens of dynamical systems and differential equations. I have worked on projects with private funders as well as United State Department of Agriculture (USDA) projects.
I work on the qualitative and quantitative analysis of nonlinear ordinary and partial differential equation models, with particular emphasis on population dynamics, bifurcation analysis, and mathematical biology. A central theme of my research is the development and study of dynamical systems that capture realistic biological processes, and using data to validate and predict the population dynamics, with the goal of gaining insight into long-term dynamics, stability, and pattern formation in applied systems.
I enjoy working at the interface of theory and application, and I am motivated by problems where mathematical analysis can inform real-world questions in ecology, agriculture, and related areas.
Outside of mathematics, I enjoy hiking and trekking, which provide a welcome balance to my academic work.
