I am currently an ORISE fellow at the Center for Drug Evaluation & Research in the U.S. Food & Drug Administration.
I earned my bachelor’s and master’s degrees, both in Chemical Engineering, respectively from Jadavpur University and Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur, in India. After that, I moved to the US for my PhD in the Chemical & Biochemical Engineering department in Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey. I spent my PhD mostly modeling (and sometimes experimenting with) processes such as wet granulation and colloidal aggregation. I also spent a brief summer during my PhD at Genentech, working on tablet dissolution. After finishing my PhD, I started as a postdoc in Biomedical Engineering at University of Wisconsin-Madison. My postdoc experience involved modeling living systems ranging from intracellular signaling networks to microbial communities.
When I'm not working, I love to watch films from different countries; and football (I'm a big Manchester United supporter), listen to all kinds of music, read non-fictional books, travel, hike and eat (a lot).
