I am a development economist with a PhD from the University of Kent, United Kingdom. My research interests span a range of topics in Economic Development and Economic Theory. My latest research addresses the role of cultural norms, and descent rules on the agency of women in developing countries. I am also examining the influence of cultural transmission on the fertility decisions of Black and Ethnic Minority women in the UK.
I am a lecturer in Economics at the University of Bedfordshire Business School (UBBS) where I carry out teaching and research activities. I recently completed my Post-Doctoral Research Fellowship at the Natural Resources Institute, University of Greenwich where I worked on the evaluation and impact assessment of intervention projects aimed at the empowerment of women in South-East Asia.
I have a Master of Science Degree in International Finance and Economic Development from the University of Kent, United Kingdom and a second Master's degree in Development Economics from the University of Port Harcourt, Nigeria. My Bachelor's degree is also in Economics from the University of Calabar, Nigeria.
