About Me
Dr. Aniefiok E. Ite is a distinguished environmental scientist and accomplished researcher with a multidisciplinary background in environmental chemistry, biotechnology, and international environmental law. He possesses extensive experience in environmental risk assessment, bioremediation, and sustainability, with a robust publication record addressing the ecological impacts of petroleum-derived pollutants and emerging issues in environmental toxicology.
He holds a Ph.D. and M.Sc. in Environmental Science from Lancaster University, UK, and a B.Sc. in Applied Chemistry from the University of Uyo, Nigeria. He also obtained a Diploma in International Environmental Law from the United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR), Geneva, Switzerland.
Dr. Ite is a member of several professional bodies, including the Royal Society of Chemistry (RSC), the Society of Environmental Toxicology and Chemistry (SETAC), Institute of Environmental Management and Assessment (IEMA), and Environmental Protection UK (EPUK). He currently serves as Deputy Director of Academic Planning and Head of the Chemistry Department at Akwa Ibom State University, where he has also contributed to university governance and national academic committees.
