Annual Subscriptions

We would like to acquaint our members with certain relevant Articles of Association, as amended and approved at the National AGM 2018, and effective from April 2019 onward.

Article 1 (x):  "Income" means the gross monthly emoluments of the individual including salary, honorarium, profit from business, pension, interest from investments, rents received, etc.  A retired employee who has received Provident Fund and other benefits will be deemed to have received the amount of pension he would have drawn, had he opted for the pension scheme; Provided that the Governing Body may, in its discretion, in the special circumstances of any particular case, relax the rule in respect of an application submitted through the Branch concerned.

Article 7:  Each member of the Association, except Life Members, shall pay a subscription according to the following all-in rates per month:

Provided that Life Members shall subscribe to the Pin-C’s Fund for Members’ Welfare at the prescribed rates.

Provided that the onus of paying the requisite subscription will always be on the member and this may be done by transferring the money to the Branch account, or by handing over the same to the Honorary Treasurer or the person/s officially authorised to collect the same, against a receipt mentioning the name of the member, date, amount of payment, and period for which the payment is being made.

Provided that the onus of informing the Committee of a change in monthly income that will alter the Income Category into which the member falls, will always be on the member, and it is mandatory for the member to inform the Committee within 30 days of the change.
