A 3-roll double pinching machine can be configured in two ways, depending on its capacity: horizontal shafts are the most common configuration for smaller machines. This allows for easier handling of small sections. Vertical shafts are the standard configuration for larger machines. GSS Machinery's 3-roll machines have two side rolls that move against the top roll. The side rolls are actuated using planetary guides to provide the necessary bending forces for tight diameters and high accuracy.
