Hi, I’m Angie, a STEM educator and tutor with nearly 20 years of experience helping students build confidence and clarity in math and science. I’ve supported learners through private tutoring, academic support programs, and higher education settings, including work with school districts in Texas and as a staff tutor at Collin College from 2015–2020.
My academic and professional background spans STEM education and Health Information Management. I maintain a CAREER CREDENTIALS PORTFOLIO that highlights my degrees, certifications, and ongoing professional development, reflecting a long-term commitment to learning, teaching, and educational accessibility.
I specialize in high school mathematics and sciences, including Algebra I & II, Geometry, Pre-Calculus, Biology, Chemistry, and Physics, as well as college-level Chemistry and Biology. Whether a student needs exam preparation, homework support, or deeper conceptual understanding, my goal is to make complex material more approachable and engaging.
Mission
To simplify higher-level math and science while empowering students and homeschool families to overcome challenges and succeed with confidence through supplemental practice, low-cost or free tutorials, and comprehensive review courses.
Values
Integrity, Empowerment, Accessibility, and Commitment — principles that guide every tutoring session, resource, and learning experience.

Before scheduling your first tutoring session, all new students are required to complete the New Student Form. This form helps me understand your tutoring goals and subject needs, collects basic student information, and confirms that tutoring policies have been reviewed and acknowledged.
Completing the form is a quick but essential step to ensure a smooth and productive start.
If you have questions at any point, please don’t hesitate to reach out. I look forward to working with you.
There are times when a student’s needs extend beyond my tutoring subjects or when scheduling availability doesn’t align. In those cases, I’m happy to recommend trusted educators.

Assessment of a $25 late cancellation fee
Consideration of discontinuing future scheduling
Tutoring is one component of academic success. Factors such as class attendance, homework completion, independent study time, and effective test-taking strategies all play a significant role. Attending tutoring sessions alone does not guarantee academic outcomes. Students are encouraged to dedicate adequate time outside of tutoring for preparation and practice.
I believe strongly in fostering student independence and responsibility. For this reason, I do not communicate directly with teachers or professors on behalf of students or parents. Encouraging students to advocate for themselves supports the development of essential communication and accountability skills. Privacy considerations may also limit communication with educators.
While I provide guidance and support with coursework, I do not monitor or ensure the submission of homework assignments. Responsibility for completing and submitting work rests with students and their families. I also do not participate in online quizzes or exams. My role is to help students understand material and develop the skills needed for long-term academic success.
To best support each student, I may request access to past homework, quizzes, or tests when available. This is especially helpful for new students or those joining later in a semester, as it provides insight into current understanding and problem-solving approaches.
During tutoring sessions, we typically focus on homework support, quiz preparation, and exam review. When appropriate, we may preview upcoming topics or transition to another supported subject. Sessions are interactive and flexible, designed to meet students where they are and help them grow toward independent learning.
My goal is for every student to feel supported and confident in their tutoring experience. While I have not had to issue refunds in nearly two decades of tutoring, I am willing to do so if a student or parent feels a session did not meet expectations.
Please contact me directly so we can discuss the concern. Refunds are straightforward, and in some cases, I may offer an additional session at no extra cost as an alternative.
I may reference AHIMA, AAPC, ICD-10-CM/PCS, and CPT® (a registered trademark of the American Medical Association) strictly as educational resources. All names and titles remain the property of their respective organizations.
I do not provide tutoring in medical coding or billing; my focus is on the underlying science and concepts. Tutoring supports learning but does not guarantee grades, test scores, or exam outcomes.
