Hi, I'm Angga,

a marine acoustician & researcher from The National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN).
My name is Angga Dwinovantyo, a research scientist at The National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN) in Indonesia. My research focuses on underwater acoustics, fisheries, hydrography, and marine technology. I have been actively involved in various international collaborations, including projects on deep vertical migration or behaviors of zooplankton and micronekton, and exploring seamounts in Indonesia. Additionally, I contribute to the International Seabed Authority's expert group on international code of conduct for deep-sea mining.
I received my PhD in Marine Technology from Institut Pertanian Bogor (IPB University), Indonesia in 2019, with a dissertation focused on the detection and quantification of suspended sediment and zooplankton acoustic backscatter using Acoustic Doppler Current Profiler (ADCP) instruments. During my doctoral studies, I had the opportunity to enhance my research at Hokkaido University in Japan as a Special Research Student from September 2018 to March 2019.
I am really open to collaboration and ready to help students from universities, especially for those who have interest in ocean technology-related research.
