Life After Trauma
Angel Wings Up Foundation, Inc. exists to enhance quality of life by providing financial, emotional, and spiritual relief to individuals experiencing life altering traumatic events by helping to raise awareness of their unmet needs to community and corporate sponsors.
These events act as "fault lines" that divide a person's life into a "before" and "after".
Common examples include:
● Sudden or Violent Incidents: Acts of violence, severe physical assault, or surviving a terrorist attack.
● Severe Accidents: Experiencing or surviving life-threatening motor vehicle crashes or devastating fires.
● Natural Disasters: Enduring catastrophic floods, earthquakes, or tornadoes.
● Medical Trauma: Being diagnosed with a life-threatening illness or enduring traumatic intensive care experiences.
● Sudden Loss: The unexpected, sudden death of a loved one.
● Abuse and Neglect: Ongoing exposure to physical, emotional, or sexual abuse, which alters neurodevelopment over time.
