Àngels Xabadia Palmada

I am an Associate Professor at the Department of Economics at the University of Girona since 2009. I have previously been a research associate at the University of California, Berkeley (2002), researcher of the Agricultural Food Research Service in Zaragoza (2002- 2003), assistant professor at the Universities of Zaragoza and Girona (2003-2007) and Juan de la Cierva researcher (2008). My teaching experience comprises more than 20 subjects at the University of Zaragoza and the University of Girona related to Mathematics, Statistics and Econometrics, Economic Theory, and Environmental Economics. I have been a guest professor at the University of Helsinki, where I taught a Ph.D. course in Natural Resources Economics, and at the Ph.D. Winter School, organized by the European Association of Environmental and Resource Economists (EAERE) and ETH from Zurich.

My research is mainly in the field of environmental and resource economics, in particular, in environmental policy analysis to correct pollution, in the management of forest and water resources. I am a member of the research group GRAE, and coordinator of the research team Economic Analysis of Public Policies (EAPP) of University of Girona recognized by the Catalan Government (https://www.udg.edu/ca/grupsrecerca/GRAE).
