Below the surface, about me!
Family and Friends
I would not be where I am today without my family and friends. I owe them a lot and they are the majority of the reason why I get up in the morning. I am half Peruvian and half Nicoya (Nicaragüense). My parents are both immigrants, and I am a first generation college student. I was born in Walnut Creek, CA, but was raised in Antioch, CA for all of my life. I attend Deer Valley High School where I met and reunited with friends I consider family.

Sports
I am a Kinsiology major and persuing a minor in Music. I am in the Honors Program and Track and Field Team at Dominican University of California. Ever since I was little I've always had a passion for helping people in need. I've also been a massive sports fan from a child and so the best way I've found to combine those two is to become an Athletic Trainer.
Music
Another massive passion of mine has always been music. From the moment I could remember I was moving my hand to mimic the strums of the guitar in whatever song my parents would be playing in the car. I've taught myself how to play guitar and now piano to the best of my ability. Ask me anything about music and I could talk for hours. I was in jazz band growing up playing lead but mainly rhythm guitar.
One of my favorite pastime is going to concerts with friends and families. It would be rare for you to see me without headphones in playing one of my favorite songs.
Some of my favorite genres include 60-70's rock classics, new wave, samba, salsa, and 90-00's R&B
