Once you've found some rocks, you can get ready to paint them. You might want to wash them off and dry them first.
2. If your rocks are really pourous, it might be a good idea to use spackle to smooth them out. just use a spatula or butter knife to soread spackle all over the side of the rock that you plan to paint. Scrape off the extra spackle. Let the spackle dry, and then sand it down.
3. Giving rocks a base coat will make the paint colors stand out better, and also will be easier on the tips of paint pens if you choose to use them. A glossy coat is best.
Now you're ready to paint your rocks!
