The purpose of this project was to create three different card posters, each illustrating a specific
emotion. I worked with the Ace of Diamonds, the Two of Clubs, and the Seven of Hearts, choosing
the emotions loneliness, sadness, and fear.
The Ace of Diamonds conveys loneliness through the single diamond placed low in the left corner. The black background reinforces the feeling of emptiness and isolation.
The Two of Clubs represents sadness with two drooping clubs. Their downward direction helps
communicate a heavy, emotional tone.
The Seven of Hearts portrays fear by showing six red hearts aimed toward a single white heart in the
corner. The white heart’s curved position makes it look like it’s pulling away and trying to protect itself, emphasizing the sense of fear.

Hermit Crab Icon

The hermit crab icon uses a smooth and simple design. I wanted it to feel bold, so I made the entire form solid black and allowed the outline to appear through the negative space cut from it. This approach helped create a clean hermit crab icon that feels grounded and calm.
Eagle Icon
Eagle Icon
The eagle icon, on the other hand, uses sharper and more defined lines. Its outline is black, which contrasts with the hermit crab’s style. The sharp edges and dark lines helped give the eagle a fierce and powerful look. The extended wings and pointed claw also contributed to portraying strength and intensity in the final design.
