About The Project

The project aims to develop and implement smart approaches to improve the resilience and sustainability of agriculture facing climate change and food security challenges. Two main axes will be carried out: 

The project will be based on cutting-edge technologies: Digital Twin (DT), Artificial Intelligence (AI), IoT, UAV and Blockchain

A DT is a an accurate simulated dynamic model of a physical object or system. In the project, we will create a DT of the complex agricultural environment using mainly data from IoT, UAVs, and blockchain technology. Machine learning will subsequently exploit the DT to process the data intelligently and help stakeholders in their decisions relating to the areas of the project cited above.

The ANGEL project addresses issues common to all partner countries. Agriculture is a vital national sector for France, Tunisia and Morocco. At the same time, today we face the same dangers. The shortage of rain is a real threat for all these countries, we are starting to wonder if there will be enough water resources to ensure Food Safety. As a consortium of research institutions, our goal is to find technological solutions to these problems. We rely on the multidisciplinarity and complementarity of our teams.
