****We always have lots of dogs looking for their forever homes, please also check our facebook page.****
***VERY IMPORTANT***
Our Volunteer time is precious and we waste a lot of time talking to applicants who are not fully committed, who then change their minds. Please be 100% sure you are ready to start the journey to adopt before applying or enquiring about our dogs.
Rescue dogs are rarely perfect; most have had little or no training or experience of a home environment prior to coming to us; they will all need time, patience, understanding and ongoing training regardless of their age. Rescue dogs take time to adapt to living in a home environment and learning your expectations, this doesn't happen quickly in most cases, they need stability and an understanding that it may take at least 3 months for them to adapt, settle, gain confidence and trust.

DOGS AVAILABLE NOW TO ADOPT
Reggie 💙 Available for adoption
Reggie is a 18 month old bundle of joy with a heart full of love and a very excited tail.
Small in stature (just 15kg and 40cm at the shoulder) He has been neutered and is ready to leap into his next adventure: finding his forever home.
Reggie enjoys his cuddles, strokes, and climbing into your lap for some quality bonding time, which is well balanced with the time that he loves spending on his own and sleeping the day away.
Reggie is house-trained and has excellent manners indoors.
He’s lived harmoniously with cats and currently thrives in foster care alongside another female dog.
Reggie blossoms around other dogs, especially calm, confident companions who can help guide him as he continues to build trust and confidence. He’s not clingy or destructive when left alone and is happy to chill at home while you’re at work, especially with a dog walker popping in.
Ideally hed live a female doggy companion but its not essential for the right home as long as he is socialised with other dogs.
Out and about: Reggie loves his walks and is generally great on the lead. However, he can be a little reactive on the lead when passing other dogs – not out of aggression, but from a place of insecurity.
He’s made great progress but he will need some further training. We have met friends dogs off lead in a secure field and he has loved running around with them!
No children under 12 yrs of age.
Preferably a resident female playful dog but happy to discuss levels of doggy socialisation if yo be an only dog.
Reggie is clever, sensitive, and eager to please. He’ll thrive with an experienced owner who understands that training is ongoing.and Reggie thrives on routine and boundaries.
Someone patient, consistent, and kind will help him grow into the confident, joyful dog in his new home that we already know and love.
In return, Reggie offers: Unwavering loyalty, shadowing you throughout the house, and the kind of companionship that makes every day brighter. He’s ready to give his whole heart to the right person or family – could that be you?
Due to Reggie's nervousness of new people he will need an adopter local enough to have several meets

Marnie ❤️ Available for adoption, foster or foster with a view to adopt
We are looking for a special foster home or even better a forever home for our lovely Marnie. Must be local to Southampton to do a few meets.
Marnie is an amazing girl who we all adore.
Marnie was brought to the UK as a puppy more than 5 yrs ago and adopted and then was sadly surrendered back to the rescue nearly 2yrs ago and has been in kennels ever since.
Marnie is coming up for 6 yrs old, has spent a third of her life in kennels and deserves better.
Marnie was labelled as "dog aggressive" which is most definitely not the case, having spent a long time in private boarding kennels not mixing with other dogs at all; since spending time with us at our own kennels; she spends hours daily playing, socialising and taking walks with lots of different dogs mainly male dogs. She can be very choosy who she likes when it comes to female dogs and she's not keen on puppies jumping all over her but most older dogs are acceptable for this mature lady.
Now Marnie is the most loving dog you'll ever meet once she knows you and trusts you. She is particularly fond of women and although she takes treats from men when she gets to know them she can still be visibly worried about men so for this reason we feel a female only home would suit Marnie.
Because of her anxieties around strangers/particularly men she needs a home where if her female handler has visitors then she simply goes away in her safe space. Its really not hard to manage if people are sensible.
Marnie will give a women companionship for life, she will adore you.
Marnie is 100 percent housetrained, walks beautifully on a lead (prefers quieter walks, no built up, busy areas) and will keep you company on the sofa all day long if allowed.
Marnie is a very special dog who just needs the right person to give her a chance.
We would keep her at our kennels forever as we all love her and she us but she deserves her own nice warm home and cosy bed where someone will understand her, love her with her quirks and keep her safe.
A couple of walks a day, nice food and lots of love and Marnie will be forever yours
There must be the perfect female only home out there for our special girl.
We want this super little lady out of kennels.
Marnie can be an only dog for sure but we do want her to continue socialising with other dogs as this has really helped her.

Cara ❤️ ADOPTED
Sweet little Cara is approximately 18 months old and is now ready to find her forever home after beginning a remarkable journey of learning that the world can be a safe and happy place.
When Cara first arrived into foster care, she was very shut down and overwhelmed by everything around her. Over the past few months, she has slowly started to come out of her shell and is beginning to show the playful, affectionate little girl who was hidden underneath her fear.
Every small step forward has been a huge achievement for her, and she is now starting to understand that she doesn’t need to be afraid. Her confidence is growing day by day, and it is a real joy to watch her blossom.
Cara is still nervous around new people and unfamiliar situations, especially in the outside world, but she is improving all the time. She needs a calm, patient home that will continue to support her at her own pace and celebrate each milestone along the way.
Albie 💙 Available for adoption
At just 13 months old, Albie has already come so far on his journey and is now ready to find the loving family he deserves.
Albie is a medium-sized, neutered mixed-breed boy who came into foster care in February. When he first arrived, he was terrified of people and found any kind of touch frightening. He would run away and hide, taking comfort from following his foster family's resident dog, who became his guide and source of reassurance. Happiness didn't seem to come easily to him.
Fast forward a few months, and Albie is blossoming into the most wonderful young dog.
Now, when his family comes downstairs in the morning or arrives home, he greets them with the sweetest wiggly bum and wagging tail. He actively seeks out affection, enjoys cuddles, and will happily roll over for a tummy rub when he's feeling relaxed and confident.
Albie has worked incredibly hard to build trust and confidence. He has learned to sit patiently and wait for his food and treats, and he would love a family who will continue his training and help him discover just how much the world has to offer.
One of Albie's favourite things is spending time with his foster family's children. He loves to play chase games, gets excited when they come home from school, and enjoys being part of the family routine. While he's waiting for playtime, you'll often find him having fun with the resident dog or following their lead.
Because of his gentle and sensitive nature, Albie is looking for a home with experienced owners who understand nervous dogs and are willing to give him the time, patience, and encouragement he needs. He absolutely thrives alongside other dogs and gains huge confidence from them, so a resident dog is essential for him.
Albie is dog-friendly, cat-friendly, and has happily interacted with visiting dogs. He is submissive rather than dominant and simply wants to make friends and play.
Although Albie has not yet ventured out on regular walks, he is ready to start exploring the world at his own pace. Initially, he would benefit from spending time in a secure enclosed area where he can build confidence outdoors safely.
Albie's story could have been very different. Before coming into foster care, he was living in an overcrowded public shelter where every day was filled with fear and uncertainty. Watching him discover that life can be fun, safe, and full of love has been truly special.
Now all that's missing is a forever family to continue that journey.
❤️ Could you be the person to give Albie the amazing future he's been waiting for?
Albie's ideal home:
🔺 Young child-free home
🔺 Secure enclosed garden required
🔺 Experience of nervous or fearful dogs
🔺 Dog and cat friendly
🔺 Resident dog(s) essential to help build his confidence
📍 In foster in Hampshire
Albie really is a very special boy, and whoever adopts him will have the privilege of watching him continue to grow into the happy, confident dog he was always meant to be.

Luke 💙 ADOPTED
Luke is an 11-month-old young boy who is full of life, enthusiasm, and potential, and he is now looking for a committed, active home to help him continue growing into the amazing adult dog he is becoming.
Still very much a puppy at heart, Luke is bright, excitable, and eager to learn. He is currently in foster care in Fareham, Hampshire, where he is gaining confidence every day and discovering the world around him at his own pace.
Luke is a very affectionate boy once he knows you. He enjoys cuddles, loves his food, and is happiest when he has something to do or someone to be with. He forms strong bonds with his people, but he does need time and patience to build trust with new faces. Visitors to the home can make him a little unsure at first, so his crate provides him with a safe space to settle and feel secure while he adjusts.
He is fully crate trained and settles beautifully, happily sleeping through the night and coping well with being left for up to around three hours. With structure and reassurance, he will continue to build confidence in being left for short periods.
Ronnie 💙 Available for adoption
Ronnie is a 9-month-old young boy who is currently in foster care in Southampton and is beginning to show just how special he truly is. When he first arrived, he was a timid, unsure puppy, but over the past six weeks he has started to slowly come out of his shell and discover the world around him.
It has been wonderful to watch his personality begin to emerge. Each day, Ronnie grows a little more confident, a little more curious, and a little more settled in himself.
Ronnie is still learning about life outside, and some things can feel overwhelming for him at first. He can be nervous when it’s time to put on his harness and will occasionally do a little “puppy chase” before giving in—but once it’s on, he’s happy to head out on his adventures.
Out on walks, Ronnie can initially pull due to his nerves, but once he relaxes he walks much more calmly and enjoys being out and about. He is especially confident and relaxed when meeting other dogs, and often takes reassurance from them. He particularly enjoys crossing paths with professional dog walkers and happily settles when surrounded by a calm pack.
He is still building confidence around certain noises such as traffic, bins, and sudden sounds, but he is improving every day. Where he once may have wanted to run and hide, he now pauses, takes it in, and carries on—an important step forward for him.
🩵 Ronnie’s lovely qualities:
No food or resource guarding
Toilet trained (no accidents for several weeks)
Crate training progressing well
Sleeps peacefully overnight once settled
Can be left for up to 3 hours with another dog
Travels well in the car and jumps in/out independently
Very dog friendly
Cat friendly
Ronnie has recently started crate training. He may whine briefly when first asked to go in, but settles quickly and now sleeps through the night. He may occasionally wake to ask to go to the toilet and will gently let you know when he needs to go out.
He has also experienced being left for up to three hours in foster care alongside another dog, and has settled calmly and comfortably during this time.
Ronnie currently lives with another dog and a lively 5-year-old child. He is very tolerant and affectionate with calm interactions, showing plenty of tail wags and gentle licking when approached quietly. However, he can become uncomfortable with loud, energetic behaviour and may bark if things get too noisy or chaotic around him.
For this reason, Ronnie would be best suited to a home with a calm environment where interactions are gentle and predictable.
🏡 Home requirements:
Dog friendly home (he benefits from canine companionship)
Cat friendly
Calm, understanding environment
Continued support with confidence building
Gentle handling around new or busy situations
📍 In foster in Southampton
Ronnie is still a work in progress, but he is trying so hard and making steady progress every day. With patience, reassurance, and kindness, he is going to grow into a wonderful, loyal companion.
🩵 Could you be the one to help Ronnie continue his journey and give him the safe, loving forever home he deserves?

Juno 💙 Available for adoption
Juno is a 7-month-old mixed breed puppy who is likely to grow into a medium–large sized adult. He is currently in foster care in Southampton, where he is slowly learning that the world can be a safe and happy place.
Juno’s journey has not been the easiest start in life. He has already experienced a lot of change in a very short time, arriving into his current foster home just 24 hours after leaving kennels and becoming his second foster placement in as many days. Unsurprisingly, he was very unsure of people at first and found comfort only in the presence of the resident dog, who quickly became his emotional support and guide.
Over time, Juno has begun to settle and build trust. He is still a timid boy, but when he has another confident dog by his side, his personality really starts to shine through. Because of this, Juno will need to be rehomed with a calm, confident resident dog who can continue to help guide him as he grows.
He is now beginning to seek affection from his trusted humans, happily enjoying gentle ear rubs and bum scratches, and is slowly learning that hands can mean comfort rather than worry. He is also choosing to spend more time around people and will often relax nearby, taking in the rhythms of home life.
Juno enjoys having access to a crate as a safe space and will happily go in and out as he pleases. He is not yet comfortable with the door being closed, so this will need to be continued at his pace. At night, he alternates between the crate and a bed in the living room and is clean, settled, and non-destructive.
Out on walks, Juno enjoys exploring the woods and loves being with his foster dog companion and the local “pack” of friendly dogs and people who are helping him build confidence. He is still nervous of vehicles passing on the short road walk to the woods, but he is improving every day and gaining courage with each outing. Once in a calmer environment, he walks well alongside his canine friend.
Juno is a playful, sweet-natured puppy at heart. He enjoys tumbling and playing with his foster dog sibling and is beginning to explore toys, although he is still figuring out that they are for playing with rather than just chewing. He will occasionally entertain himself with a ball and is showing more curiosity and cheeky puppy energy as he relaxes.
At home, he is generally calm and gentle, with short bursts of typical puppy silliness. He is a lovely mix of quiet observer and playful youngster, and his personality is continuing to blossom week by week.
🐾 Juno’s lovely qualities:
Dog friendly (must live with a confident resident dog)
House trained and settled indoors
Enjoys walks in quieter environments
Crate comfortable as a safe space (door not yet closed)
Beginning to seek affection and trust humans
Playful and growing in confidence daily
🐱 Cats: Juno does bark at cats within the home and is not currently calm enough to live with them, although outside he has largely ignored neighbouring cats.
🚗 Out and about:
He is still nervous of traffic and passing vehicles but is improving steadily with gentle exposure and support.
🏡 Home requirements:
Must live with another confident, friendly dog
Calm, patient home willing to continue his confidence building
Understanding of nervous young dogs
Secure, low-pressure environment
📍 In foster in Southampton
Juno is a gentle, sensitive young boy who has already come a long way in a short space of time. With the right home, steady reassurance, and the support of another dog, he is expected to continue growing into a happy, confident companion.
🩵 Could you be the one to give Juno the stability, patience, and love he needs to truly thrive?

Violet❤️Available for adoption
Violet is a wonderful 7-month-old puppy who has come on leaps and bounds in foster care. After just a few weeks, she has begun to come out of her shell beautifully and is now starting to show her sweet, playful personality.
One of her foster family’s favourite moments is being greeted at the door by Violet’s wagging tail—something that felt like a distant dream when she first arrived. She is now learning that people mean safety, comfort, and fun.
Violet is a bright and intelligent little girl who loves to learn. She has already picked up cues such as “down” and “bed,” and she has an excellent understanding of when the treat jar is being opened! She is food motivated, which makes her eager and willing to continue learning new skills as she grows.
She is still a little nervous around new people, but she will approach in her own time and is gaining confidence every day. Once she feels comfortable, her affectionate side shines through—she enjoys cuddles on the sofa, will happily come for fuss, and has even started giving gentle kisses.
Violet is still very much a puppy, so she will need ongoing training and guidance, but she is eager to please and learning quickly. She is also improving wonderfully on her walks and now walks nicely on a lead without pulling.
🌸 Violet’s lovely qualities:
Dog friendly and enjoys canine company
Crate training is going well
Almost fully house trained
Eating well and very food motivated
Learning to relax and enjoy home life
Beginning to play and engage like a proper puppy
She is currently fostered in a busy family home with children aged 15, 13, and 5, as well as two resident dogs aged 2 years and 7 months. Violet is slowly adjusting to the noise and activity of family life and is learning that busy homes can be fun and safe. She is also beginning to play with the other dogs, which has been a joyful milestone in her development.
Violet is not yet cat tested.
🐾 Home requirements:
Can live with other dogs
Dog-savvy children considered
Ongoing training and gentle socialisation encouraged
Patient home to continue building her confidence

Oliver 💙 Available for adoption
If you're looking for a fun-loving, affectionate puppy who will keep you smiling every day, then Oliver might just be the perfect match.
At just 6 months old, Oliver is a sweet, lively boy with a huge personality and an even bigger heart. He absolutely loves people and is never happier than when he's snuggled up for a cuddle with his favourite humans.
Like any young puppy, Oliver is still learning about the world, but he is proving to be a clever and eager student. Since arriving in foster care, he has made fantastic progress with his house training and is beginning to understand the routines of home life. With regular trips into the garden, he has had just one indoor accident over the last couple of days and keeps his crate clean and dry overnight.
Oliver is also doing brilliantly with his crate training. He may have a brief grumble when first settling, but he now sleeps through the night and can happily spend up to two hours in his crate during the day.
This handsome youngster loves learning new things and enjoys training sessions, especially when treats are involved! He already knows "sit" and "paw," is mastering "lay" and "spin," and is working hard on "wait" and "off." His enthusiasm for food makes him a pleasure to train and gives him huge potential for continued learning.
💙 Oliver's highlights:
Affectionate and loves cuddles
Crate training progressing beautifully
House training coming along very well
Clever and eager to learn
Food motivated and enjoys training
No signs of food aggression
Loves walks and adventures
Friendly, playful, and full of character
Oliver has shown excellent manners around food. He happily sits and waits for his meals and is comfortable being touched while eating. He has even tolerated another foster puppy attempting to steal his dinner without any signs of resource guarding.
Being a six-month-old puppy, Oliver is currently teething and still learning appropriate ways to interact. He can sometimes mouth quite hard when excited and is working on learning to be gentle. Like many puppies his age, he can occasionally become overexcited and forget his manners, so ongoing training and consistency will be important.
Out and about, Oliver loves his walks and is growing more confident around traffic, people, and everyday noises. He can be vocal when people walk past and can be strong on the lead at times, but he is already learning to stop, sit, and wait calmly. With continued guidance, he is expected to make great progress.
Oliver is currently fostered with an 8-year-old child and, while he is affectionate, he can be a little too enthusiastic. He sees children very much as playmates and can bark, jump up, and mouth when excited. For this reason, we feel he would be best suited to a home with dog-savvy children aged 12+ who understand puppy behaviour and can interact appropriately while his training continues.
🏡 Oliver's ideal home:
🐾 Active family committed to ongoing puppy training
🐾 Plenty of exercise, enrichment, and companionship
🐾 Dog-savvy children aged 12+
🐾 Consistent boundaries and positive reinforcement
📍 In foster in Portsmouth
Oliver is everything you would expect from a young puppy—fun, affectionate, intelligent, occasionally cheeky, and full of potential. With continued training, patience, and love, he is going to grow into a wonderful and loyal family companion.
💙 Could you be the family to guide Oliver through the rest of his puppyhood and give him the forever home he deserves?

Now actively comes for cuddles
Sleeps through the night with no accidents
Can be left at home with another dog

He has shown a very friendly attitude towards cats in the home and enjoys playful interaction with them, meaning he could potentially live with confident, dog-savvy cats.
Out and about, Dudley has not shown any concerning behaviour towards people or dogs, although he is still young and learning how to navigate the world. Like all puppies, he will need continued training, structure, and gentle guidance as he matures.

Bobby 💙 Available for adoption
Meet Bobby, a handsome small–medium 9‑month-old pup with a bright, eager mind and a huge heart. He’s been in foster for just over two weeks and has impressed everyone with how quickly he learns and adapts—funny, friendly, and endlessly lovable.
Here is his fosters description of him.
We have fostered Bobby for just over 2 weeks and having previously fostered Romanian rescues we are amazed at how quickly he learns and adapts.
He is so funny and friendly and just so lovable.
We will miss him but feel he will benefit from a family home and would live happily with other dogs.
He has so many positives and no negatives just some things are a work in progress.
Noises, indoors, outdoors do not seem to bother him at all.
He will join in when neighbouring dogs bark in their gardens but soon stops when corrected
He is fully house trained and he has never once had any toilet accidents indoors.
He sleeps quietly all night in the hallway, stair gate fitted at bottom of stairs. We used a crate with the door left open for a couple of nights but now packed away as not needed as he settles quickly with no fuss and we don't hear a peep from him all night.
He loves his food and treats. He has no food, treat or toy aggression and happily shares.
He loves his walks and gets so excited when he sees his lead and harness and is happy to have them put on.
The walks can take ages as he loves exploring the lovely smells in the grass and hedges and is fascinated by flying insects. He is so inquisitive.
He is fine with passing bikes, runners and people but wants to say hello to every passing dog.
If a dog walker goes straight past Bobby will lunge and bark as he gets frustrated as he can't say hello. We are working on this by taking him to a local park and watching passing dogs in the distance. He loves walking alongside other dogs but can be too playful so needs to be corrected.
He has been in the car a few times and I sit on back seat next to him and he is secured by harness and belt clip. He likes to stand up and watch the passing traffic. He is not keen on going into the car but is happy to be lifted in and then enjoys a treat.
He has not yet been left alone but we will work on this.
He knows he is allowed on the doggy sofa in the conservatory but not on the sofas in the lounge.
✅Great with other dogs, big and small off lead but excitable when out on a lead
✅100% Housetrained
✅Sleeps all night
✅Can be homed with a resident dog or only dog home
✅Garden required
✅Walking on a harness and lead
✅People friendly

This handsome little chap has a lot of love to give and would make a great addition to a family with dog / rescue dog experience.

Sadie❤️ Available for adoption
Beautiful Sadie is an amazing 6 month old pup likely to be a larger medium size dog when fully grown.
Sadie was very nervous at first when arriving into foster with us, her foster family, but quickly started to trust myself and children, she’s living with 4 children ages 6-14 and has been so gentle. She is adapting well to living in a home and enjoying some home comforts.
She loves playing in the garden with the ball and running around, she eats well and sleeps in her crate, waking up once to toilet then will settle quickly again.
Sadie is initially wary of males like a lot of rescues, but has started to get a bit more confident around the male members of her foster home.
Sadie walks on a lead and harness quite well but does tend to get nervous of unknown people walking past so needs encouragement and reassurance but this will improve in time and with plenty of nice walks and positive experiences she will gain confidence.
Sadie is confident with other dogs, cats and children. Sadie is house trained and is learning the basic commands, she will sit and started to learn paw.
All in all Sadie is a very calm and lovely dog in the home but equally a young and energetic girl who loves running and playing; she will make an amazing addition to the lucky family who adopt her.
Sadie really loves water - when we took her down by the lake she was paddling and playing in the water, she loved it so a home near the beach or lakes would be a nice extra for Sadie.
Sadie needs a home with someone around most of the day as she struggles at the moment being left so alone time will need to be built up gradually.
Being a puppy Sadie will need ongoing training to reach her full potential but being a quick learner and a foodie will help with her training.
✅Housetrained
✅Lead training going well
✅Crate trained
✅Cat friendly
✅Dog friendly
✅Child tested with children 6+
✅Can be an only dog or live with similar size dogs

Beautiful puppy Winston is a 6 month old medium size Black and White pup from Romania
Winston was the shyest of his litter so needs a calm and patient home where he can lbe given time to build his trust and gain confidence. There is a cuddly pup inside him that wants to come out but he is still a little unsure; he gains confidence and learns from other dogs so a canine companion is essential, preferably one that will play as Winston would enjoy a playful friend.

Winston has NOT been child tested but can only be homed with older children.
He loves running around and playing with dog toys, he has tried to get the resident dog to play but she won’t so would love a playmate.
When visiting dogs come over he just runs around & plays with them. His happy time is definitely with other dogs.

Getting used to being stroked all over and being cuddled.
He understands the word “walkies” he will now stand and wait while his harness is being put on.

When walking with another dog he will just happily keep walking

Arnie🩵 Available for Adoption
Arnie is a super friendly, handsome boy of 7 months, he is a medium size. Arnie was adopted sooner after his arrival and fitted straight in but sadly through no fault of his, Arnie has been returned back to the rescue so is now once again looking for his forever home.
The only reason for his return is due to an allergy; nothing that sweet Arnie has done, in fact he is and always has been a little superstar.
Just look at his beautiful markings and those "love me" eyes.
Arnie is currently an only dog in the home but can live with other dogs and loves children.
Arnie is a real family dog, he loves people, loves his family and also happy to say hello to visitors in the home as well as enjoying greeting people on walks.
Arnie walks well on a harness and lead and is enjoying his walks and exploring new places and smells. When at home he enjoys playing with his toys and has not been destructive.
He travels well in a car and if he is with his humans he is a very happy boy.
Arnie really loves human company; more than dog company and struggles being on his own at the moment, he doesn't like being left for long periods of time so he would either need a resident dog for company or he would need a home where his family are around the majority of the day or he will get too stressed being left. alone time will need to be built up gradually; a resident dog would certainly help.
✅Housetrained
✅Walks well on a lead and harness
✅Can live with children that are respectful of dogs
