pinch pots are the most basic form of pottery. with these pieces, i wanted them to look like a type of coral or barnacle you would see in the ocean.

This piece was created in my Ceramics II class and is the assignment was to create a sculpture like piece. It was difficult to create as the base and hand part continued to collapse, which meant I had to find a several creative ways to solve this problem.
This piece also received a purchase award at my local community college and is kept in their permanent collection to be put on display at the college.
