I am a Visiting Research Scientist at Fundamental AI Research at Meta, and an Assistant Professor of Physics at University of Maryland, College Park.
I am broadly interested in emergent behavior of systems with large number of degrees of freedom.
Some concrete topics I worked on: topological phases of matter, fractons, classical and quantum liquid crystals, cold atomic gases, chiral active matter, integrable systems in 1D and deep neural networks.
