A happy family at the local fare sharing in good times.
My name is Andrew Tutein and this is me and my family. We are in need of help your help as much as you can give even if it's a dollar. We live in Fayetteville, North Carolina at one point when my wife and I both was employed a suitable place to live. We wouldn't realize until we were in need of help how hard it would be to live especially with dignity. Our problem started when I left my cleaning job not the best job but it allowed me the ability to help pay bills, because I was diagnosed with venous disease, this diagnoses was compounded because 10 years earlier I was diagnosed with dextro scoliosis. With both ailments venous disease causes irregular blood flow and intense pain for me in my dominant leg and the scoliosis has cause me pain throughout my back for years. Without a job i wasn't able to help maintain our vehicle which was getting us to and from work and my wife lost her job. As a result we lost our home and our vehicle. Since then we have sought help from our local social services like help applying for social security seeking employment other than bus passes that was delivered late by the social worker. We even called 211 United Way and was told the only services available in our area was for military active and vets which we are not. We went to 128th S.King street a homeless prevention center and was told that all services except transitional housing was available and we would be put on a waiting list and that was 3 months ago. We have even tried to leave the state and the city to places that would have the services we would need to have stability with no luck. We have been staying in a local hotel using our tax return to pay and now our funds have dried out leaving us asking for help paying for our stay buss fare and when our SNAP benefits run out food. With school coming our children need school supplies and we need transportation to go looking for job, interviews and if we have to work nights because the public transportation ends at 7p.m. The money we would receive would go towards paying for our hotel so we don't end up on the streets like so many others here school supplies for our children transportation for school if no school bus is available where we are staying and job search and interviews. Our need is imminent and constant.
