I am an associate professor of philosophy at Old Dominion University in Norfolk, Virginia.  I also hold a joint appointment in the Institute for the Humanities at ODU.  I  completed doctoral work in philosophy at The Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio, where I defended my dissertation, Psychological Arguments for Free Will, in 2017.  My main areas of interest are in the philosophy of mind and issues of free will.  I also have a growing interest in the philosophy of videogames where I work on moral responsibility in virtual contexts.  I have studied philosophical thought experiments in virtual reality with the help of an NEH grant. I received my BA in philosophy from Georgetown University.

I am the co-editor with Erick Ramirez of Exploring Extended Realities: Metaphysical, Psychological, and Edited Challenges, available now from Routledge.
