Biography
Since September 2025, I have held a Vice-Chancellor Independent Research Fellowship at Loughborough University. I received my PhD from the University of Birmingham in 2023 and, before moving to Loughborough, held postdoctoral positions at Birmingham (2023-2024) and the Open University (2024-2025).
Research interests
My main research interests lie in aperiodic order, ergodic theory, symbolic dynamics and fractal geometry. I'm also interested in connections between these fields and other areas of mathematics and science, such as structural properties of aperiodic metamaterials and complexity of natural phenomena.
