I am currently an Associate Professor of Economics in the School of Development Studies, University of Mpumalanga South Africa, Research Fellow at INTI International University Malaysia and scientific advisor to WindAc Africa. Previously served at and University of Fort Hare. I have completed a prestigious and competitive collaborative Masters` programme of the African Economic Research Consortium (AERC) at a residential joint facility for electives in Kenya. I have produced publications on several African economies in peer reviewed and reputable journals and conference proceedings including working papers published with Economic Research South Africa (ERSA). I communicate these research outputs through reputable publishing outlets such as Elsevier, Emerald, Inderscience and the Economic Research Southern Africa (ERSA) working paper series among others. My publications have appeared in journals indexed by Scorpus (Eselvier), Web of Science, EconLit (American Economic Association) among other well-recognised research databases. My scientific journal articles are well cited. In addition, I review research manuscripts for several local and international journals including peer-evaluation for the National Research Foundation of South Africa`s research portfolios of researchers seeking NRF rating.

 

I`m co-editor of a book entitled Research Methods for Economics that is currently in press for publication by Van Schaik Publishers. In addition, I have successfully supervised and co-supervised postgraduate research at masters and PhD levels on various topics of banking, monetary policy, macroeconomics, and economic growth analysis. Moreover, I have externally examined to-date 31 MCom dissertations and 17 PhD theses from various universities in South Africa including University of Cape Town, University of Stellenbosch, University of Pretoria, University of Johannesburg, and many others. 


I have received invitations to review economics academic programmes at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. I currently teach courses in mathematical economics, public economics, and population economics. Previously taught models in economics, econometrics, monetary economics, microeconomics and macroeconomics.
