Welcome! I am an Assistant Professor (tenure-track) in the philosophy department at Boston College.
I'm interested in the theoretical and ethical questions raised by ancient philosophers and I believe that their answers remain salient and useful for our lives today. My current work examines Plato's and Aristotle's views of the nature and value of hope, and how hope might contribute to human flourishing. In addition to my teaching and research, I am also an Affiliated Researcher with the Moral Injury Lab at the University of Virginia.
I received my Ph.D. in philosophy from Emory University in 2020.
