I am an assistant professor (RTDb) at the Dipartimento di Matematica e Informatica of the Università degli studi di Catania.
I am currently working on computations in A1-Homotopy Theory via Tropical Geometry. My areas of research comprise Real Algebraic Geometry, Tropical Geometry and their applications to Enumerative Geometry.

My research interests are in A1-Enumerative Geometry, Real Algebraic Geometry and Tropical Geometry. Currently I am working in Enumerative Geometry using tropical methods in A1-homotopy theory, namely on the computation of motivic Gromov-Witten invariants, on cohomological invariants and A1-enumerative problems.
I am an assistant professor (RTDb) at the Dipartimento di Matematica e Informatica of the Università di Catania.
Previously, I was a DFG postdoctoral fellow at the Universität Tübingen, working with Hannah Markwig on A1-enumerative tropical geometry.
Before that, I was an assegnista di ricerca at the Università degli studi di Napoli Federico II, working with Roberto Pirisi on cohomological invariants.
From 2020 until 2023, I was an ERC postdoctoral fellow at the Universität Duisburg-Essen working under the supervision of Marc Levine developping tropical methods on A1-enumerative geometry.
During the academic years 2018/20 I was a postdoctoral fellow at the Laboratoire de Mathématiques Jean Leray in the Univeristé de Nantes working on polynomials properties of Refined Tropical Invariants under the supervision of Erwan Brugallé.
I was a postdoctoral fellow at the School of Mathematical Sciences at the Tel-Aviv University working in Real Singularity Theory under the supervision of Eugenii Shustin. I classified morsifications of trigonal quasihomogeneous singularities, giving a complete classification of morsifications of a singularity family that is not mild.
I defended my PhD thesis at the Institut de Mathématiques de Jussieu - Paris Rive Gauche of the Sorbonne Université, under the supervision of Ilia Itenberg. I worked on an instance of a modern version of the 16th Hilbert problem. Namely, I found a complete classification of the main strata of the moduli space of real rational plane quintics.
