This Privacy Policy describes how Andreopoulos Coaching ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, stores, and protects personal information when you use our mobile application ("App"). By using the App, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
Andreopoulos Coaching is a mobile application designed to support the coaching relationship between sports coaches and their athletes. The App provides direct messaging, race planning, athlete profile management, and performance tracking.

If you are located in the European Union (EU), we are the data controller responsible for your personal data under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

- User role (Athlete or Coach)
- Account creation date
2.2 Athlete Profile Information (provided voluntarily by athletes)
- First name and last name
- Email address
- Phone number *(optional)*
- City *(optional)*
- Date of birth
- Body weight (kg) and height (cm)
- Weekly training availability (hours and days)
- Sports equipment description
- Gym access status
2.3 Health-Related Information
- Medical conditions *(optional, entered by the athlete)*
- Dietary supplements *(optional, entered by the athlete)*
Important: Medical conditions and supplement information are considered sensitive personal data. This information is shared only with the assigned coach and is never disclosed to third parties beyond the technical infrastructure described in Section 5.
2.4 Performance Metrics (managed by the coach)
- Functional Threshold Power — FTP (watts)
- Functional Threshold Heart Rate — FTHR (bpm)
2.5 Financial Information (managed by the coach)
- Payment status (whether the athlete's account is financially up to date)
- Amount owed to the coach *(if applicable)*
This information is visible only to the coach and is not shared externally.
2.6 Race & Competition Data
- Race name, date, type, and priority level
- Race location and distance *(optional)*
- Race notes and results
2.7 Message Content
- Text messages sent between athletes and coaches through the in-app chat
2.8 Device & Technical Data
- Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) push notification token
- Device type (iOS/Android) — inferred from the token
- Timestamps for messages, logins, and profile updates
We use the information collected for the following purposes:

If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), we process your personal data under the following legal bases:
- Contract performance (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR): Processing is necessary to provide the coaching services you registered for.
- Legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR): Sending notifications about new messages and race reminders.
- Consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR): For sensitive health information (medical conditions, supplements). You may withdraw this consent at any time by deleting this information from your profile.
- Consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR): For push notification permissions on your device.
We do not sell your personal data to third parties.
We share your data only with the following trusted service providers, solely to operate the App:
The App is built on Firebase, a platform provided by Google LLC. The following Firebase services process your data:
Firebase Authentication — manages user login and account security
Cloud Firestore — stores user profiles, messages, race data, and coach notes
Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) — delivers push notifications to your device
Firebase Cloud Functions — processes automated tasks (e.g., race reminder notifications)
Google LLC may process your data in the United States and other countries. Google applies appropriate safeguards including Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) for international data transfers. For more information, see [Google's Privacy Policy](https://policies.google.com/privacy).
Your data is not shared with other coaches, athletes, or users outside your assigned coaching relationship.
We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active. Specifically:
Account data: retained until you request deletion of your account
Messages: retained indefinitely within the App to preserve conversation history; you may request deletion
Race data: retained until you delete it within the App or request account deletion
FCM tokens: updated automatically and cleared when you log out
You can permanently delete your account directly from within the App at any time:
1. Go to Settings in the App
2. Scroll to the bottom and tap "Delete Account"
3. Confirm your decision when prompted
Upon account deletion, all your personal data — including your profile, messages, race data, performance metrics, and authentication credentials — will be permanently and irreversibly deleted from our systems within 30 days, except where retention is required by applicable law.
Note: Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. If you wish to use the App again after deleting your account, you will need to register as a new user.
Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:

If you are in the EU/EEA and believe we are not handling your data correctly, you have the right to lodge a complaint with your local Data Protection Authority (DPA). In Greece, this is the [Hellenic Data Protection Authority (HDPA)](https://www.dpa.gr).
The App may be used by athletes under the age of 18 only with the knowledge and consent of a parent or legal guardian. We do not knowingly collect sensitive personal data from children without parental oversight.
If you are a coach registering an athlete who is a minor, you take responsibility for ensuring that the athlete's parent or guardian has consented to the collection and use of their data as described in this policy.
If you believe we have inadvertently collected data from a minor without proper consent, please contact us immediately at enduroracer0330@gmail.com and we will take prompt action to remove the data.
The App requests permission to send you push notifications for:
New incoming messages from your coach or athletes
Upcoming race reminders (sent before a scheduled race)
You can disable push notifications at any time through your device's system settings. Disabling notifications does not affect your access to the App.
We take the security of your data seriously. We apply the following measures:
All data is stored in Google Cloud Firestore, which uses encryption at rest and in transit (TLS/HTTPS)
Authentication is handled by Firebase Authentication, which follows industry-standard security practices
Access to athlete data is restricted: athletes can only see their own data; coaches can only see data for athletes assigned to them
Push notification tokens are stored securely and refreshed automatically
No method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your data, we cannot guarantee absolute security.
The App uses Google Firebase infrastructure, which may store and process your data in the United States and other countries outside the EEA. Google provides appropriate safeguards through Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) as approved by the European Commission.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. For significant changes, we will notify users through the App or by email.
