Through the new series of works "When You Feel the Earth You Can Breathe the Air", Andreea Costenco calls for an unexpected getaway "out of time", by Eliade's terms, to discover a new kind of freedom.

The 20 paintings, crafted by traditional means, present new perspectives on freedom as currency, using time, freedom of thought and awareness, meta-textually sustained through considerable time invested in thousands of pages of reading.

For Andreea, the theme and also the "key formula" to access the infinite space and absolute time is love. The true quality of the series of paintings is found in the painter`s effort to restore the theme through the idea of ​​the vast space that metamorphoses and comes to life, giving colour and a philosophical dimension to the dynamics of the feeling of love.

Andrea's experience in painting, multimedia arts but also time spent as a designer, serves and enriches this series of works with a unique exhibition in Romania.

"The story is trying to capture a state based on elements of infinite and timelessness through painting. It`s about the moment of entering the sacred space of absolute love, where time and space are suspended”, writes Andreea Costenco.

The image is accompanied by sound, light and a type of spatial coordination that invites a kind of meditation, relaxation as recognition of harmony throughout our space and universe as a form of exegesis on the whole, decomposed in the form of movement, which attempts to reveal unity.

Area as shape of transformation becomes a form of deep breathing and through the awareness of earthly man - woman duality it pours through composed breath and the universe reunites.

Thus the two theme’s breathing restores the whole universe in a new dance, purified by an infinite moment of absolute brilliance. Living the mystery of love is the form that launches a new universal structure and gives a restored and reintegrated sense, where everything becomes an absolute and timeless presence.

Duality disappears with the full blast of the divine breath and expands into infinity, becoming unity. The dynamics is achieved in the moment of movement and resumes the temporal and circular course of existence that will always have regard to infinity and return to its original shape. The course ends with the exit from sacred time and the return to profane time. "

Beyond the metaphysical intent described above, in this series, Andreea Costenco`s works also portray a new and interesting light on the act of creation itself, arguments for which this exhibition deserves once again full attention of the public.

Description of the artistic process

My interest is to capture human emotions and the visual development in relation to a shape, sound, colour and structure. The approach of such introspection was not from the surrealist view but rather an organic, alchemical one. This form of exploration created a meeting point between two worlds reunited and restored into a series of paintings, where the real, historical, material elements have become a structure of specific and unique appearance, a way that the universal gets shaped without losing the individual.

My intention is to capture the image and use the image in a sensory-instinctive manner, where the colour is perceived at first as sound, vibration and later as a visual structure that makes sense in our daily existence. From this observation of historical elements, architectural shapes, objects from the road and with all influences (historical and modern), it has started a whole artistic process of rational-emotional, inside-outside perception of understanding. In order to gain some perspective on the new found structure, I looked at colour as a transformation point, a veil or mirror image that has the possibility to change depending on the position or the angle of view. Through these light-colour changes, the image is transformed and so the entire sense of the action. The colour’s possibility to designate a multiple reality can be regarded as dynamic and logic between two plans: the integrated material and the "essential", outlined or suggested as the memory plays a role in the understanding of a presence, which was there and now is not.

This is a dynamic method that can be used almost as a root or a mathematical formula that can expand your imagination infinitely, while at the same time allowing the possibility to return to that starting point of 0 or 1. It is a way of exploring things which can be beyond our understanding and that our eyes are not trained to see.

This offers a complex and complicated perspective where many elements come together like a human citadel filled with chambers, some doors wide open and others hidden or secrete where every action is an invitation to an inter-human dialogue. It is an emotional and rational participation of the imagination in a challenging approach. This work is a meeting between the mysterious and tangible reality where we are surrounded by certain geometry and balance that can develop indefinitely together with our consciousness.

My interest is to transform into light and colour elements that can be structured in a dynamic, unitary form. It is a way that personal observation can be used as a movement from inside to outside and vice versa in order to achieve a type of sensory-rational intercultural dialogue. The whole process is conducted from the natural appearance in everyday life of an image without conditioning its individual development of the story in an organic way. The use of various elements (object, colour, image, light) into a coherent structure has the main purpose to allow the viewer access to cultures in an integrated way.

Andreea Costenco is an artist who deals with courage and curiosity, themes and various ways of artistic expression. She perceives art as an organic way of developing the understanding and definition of individual uniqueness that lives in each person.

Andreea dedicated herself entirely to this process of knowledge, she has let the real, material elements to become inside a structure of specific, unique appearance. This form of exploration was like a meeting point between the conscious and subconscious viewed as two worlds and reunited or restored in her interventions and numerous works.

Andreea Costenco in the process of understanding and discovery of works she encounters a significant number of signs and symbols generally accepted as being unconscious archetypes that she allows to develop and change in an inside-outside process. She offers a complex and complicated program where many elements come together like a human citadel filled with chambers with some doors wide open and others hidden or secrete. It is in her work a meeting between the mysterious and tangible reality.

Andreea proposes a dance of imagination through various forms of expression as a process of becoming and transformation into life. She considers art a live and dynamic method that can not evolve without that inter-human union in a dialogue where every action is an invitation to an emotional and rational participation in her colourful approach. It is the way she introduces new parameters in the equation, as she beautifully asserts that without the public the imagination can not extend to a new level.

Attraverso la nuova serie di opere "Quando senti la terra si respira l'aria", Andreea Costenco propone una fuga inaspettata "fuori del tempo", nei termini indicati da Eliade, alla scoperta di un nuovo tipo di libertà.

I 20 dipinti, realizzati con mezzi tradizionali, presentano nuove prospettive sulla libertà come merce, attraverso il tempo, la libertà di pensiero e la consapevolezza, concetti letteralmente sostenuti attraverso il tempo considerevole investito in migliaia di pagine di lettura.

Per Andreea, il tema e la chiave di lettura per accedere allo spazio infinito ed al tempo assoluto, è l’Amore. La vera peculiarità della serie di dipinti si trova nello sforzo della pittrice di recuperare il tema attraverso l'idea dello spazio infinito che si trasforma e prende vita, dando un colore ed una dimensione filosofica alla dinamica del sentimento d'amore.

L'esperienza di Andreea nella pittura, nelle arti multimediali, ed anche il tempo trascorso come designer, sono serviti ad arricchire questa serie di opere con in una mostra unica nel suo genere in Romania.

"La storia cerca di impregnarsi di uno stato basato di elementi di infinito e senza tempo, attraverso la pittura. Ci si trova nel momento esatto in cui si sta entrando nello spazio sacro dell’Amore assoluto, dove il tempo e lo spazio sono sospesi ", scrive Andreea Costenco.

L'immagine è accompagnata da suoni, luci ed un tipo di coordinamento territoriale che invita ad una sorta di meditazione, il rilassamento come il riconoscimento dell’armonia in tutto il nostro spazio ed universo come forma di esegesi nel complesso del tutto, decompostosi in forma di movimento, che tenta di rilevarsi completamente.

L’Area come figura di trasformazione diventa forma di respirazione profonda ed attraverso la consapevolezza della dualità terrestre uomo-donna, si riversa attraverso il calmo respiro e l’unione dell’universo.

Così il tema della respirazione a due ripristina l'intero universo in una nuova danza, purificata da un momento infinito di assoluta brillantezza. Vivere il mistero dell'amore è la forma che lancia una nuova struttura universale e dà un senso restaurato e reintegrato, dove tutto diventa una presenza assoluta e senza tempo.

La dualità scompare con il forte soffio del vento divino e si espande all'infinito, divenendo l’unità. La dinamica si compie nel momento del movimento e riprende il decorso temporale e circolare dell'esistenza che avrà sempre il proposito dell’infinito e del ritorno alla sua forma originale. l’itinerario si conclude con l'uscita dal tempo sacro e il ritorno al tempo profano.

Al di là della volontà metafisica sopra descritta, in questa serie le opere di Andreea Costenco ritraggono anche una nuova ed interessante luce dell’atto della creazione stessa, argomenti per i quali la mostra merita ancora una volta tutta l'attenzione del pubblico.

Andreea Costenco, prin noua serie de lucrări „Atinge pământul şi respiră aerul”, invită la o neaşteptată escapadă „în afara timpului”, prin termenii lui Eliade, pentru descoperirea unui nou tip de libertate.

Cele 20 de tablouri, lucrate prin mijloacele tradiţionale ale picturii, expun noi perspective asupra libertăţii ca monedă de schimb în valorificarea timpului, a libertăţii în gândire şi conştientizare, susţinute metatextual printr-un efort de cercetare considerabil, investit în mii de pagini de lectură.

Tema şi, totodată, „formula cheie” pentru accesarea spaţiului infinit şi a timpului absolut este, pentru Andreea, iubirea. Pentru că adevărata calitate a seriei de tablouri se regăseşte în efortul pictorului de a reda tema prin ideea de spaţiu vast care se transformă şi prinde viaţă, oferind culoare şi o dimensiune filosofică în sine, aplicată dinamicii sentimentului de iubire.

Experienţa Andreei în pictură, artă multimedia dar şi timpul petrecut în calitate de scenograf, servește şi îmbogăţește această serie de lucrări cu program unic în România.

„Povestea de faţă încearcă să capteze prin intermediul picturii o stare ce are la bază elemente ale infinitului şi ale atemporalului. Este vorba despre clipa de pătrundere în spaţiul sacru al iubirii absolute, acolo unde spaţiul şi timpul se suspendă”, scrie Andreea Costenco.

„Imaginea e susţinută de sunet, lumină şi tip de organizare spaţială ce invită la o formă de meditaţie, relaxare, ca o recunoaştere a armoniei în întreg spaţiul şi universul nostru şi ca formă de exegeză asupra întregului, descompus în forme de mişcare, ce încearcă să se reveleze în unitate.

Spaţiul ca expresie de transformare devine o formă de respiraţie profundă, iar prin conştientizarea dualităţii terestre bărbat - femeie se revarsă prin respiraţia compusă şi astfel se reuneşte întreg Universul.

Altfel spus, respiraţia celor doi restaurează întreg Universul într-un dans nou şi purificat de infinita clipă a strălucirii absolute. Trăirea tainică a iubirii este forma ce lansează o nouă structură universală şi dă un sens restaurat şi reîntregit, unde totul devine prezenţă absolută şi atemporală.

Dualitatea dispare în momentul de maximă respiraţie al suflului divin şi se expandează în infinit, devenind unitate. Dinamica se realizează în momentul mişcării şi se reia parcursul temporal şi circular al existenţei, ce va avea mereu în vedere infinitul şi revenirea la forma iniţială. Parcursul se încheie cu ieşirea din timpul sacru şi revenirea în timpul profan.”

Lucrările Andreei Costenco redau în această serie, dincolo de intenţia metafizică descrisă mai devreme, şi o lumină nouă şi interesantă asupra actului creaţiei în sine, argumente pentru care această expoziţie merită încă o dată toată atenţia publicului.

Breeze Between Water and Flame

Noua expoziție din seria „Camino History Organic Structure” este rezultatul unei călătorii itinerante în Spania şi Portugalia, expoziția devenind ecoul modului organic de înţelegere şi definire a unicităţii, într-un proces în care elementul real-concret, material-palpabil devine parte integrantă din textura lucrărilor vernisate.

Andreea Costenco a redat experiența interioritații prin tehnici borgesiene de punere în abis, unde elemente recurente se organizează şi re-organizează dupa tipare auto-referențiale „organice”, capabile să se re-construiască la infinit. Viziunea fractalică este susținută de un program complex multi-fațetat în care feminitatea, intimitatea, sexualitatea şi lumea exterioară devin elemente fireşti ale unui singur obiect.

Citadele, încăperi labirintice, deschise sau secrete, geometrii inventate, reluări ale „arhitecturii corporale” pendulează între cele două lumi ale conştientului şi inconştientului reinventând un nou sistem estetic suprarealist, unic, realizat prin elemente inedite raportate permanent la sine ca obiecte de artă, şi la sine ca parte din psihologia abisală a personajului.

Universul multi-verse, auto-multiplicativ este dominat permanent de arhetipuri şi imagini stroboscopice, dinamism, contrarii şi contradicții, însă viziunea „organică” reuşeşte să le împace, armonizându-le fără eforturi într-un tot unitar, estetizant, ideatic şi, totodata, ideal.
