Welcome! I’m a second-year Statistics Ph.D. candidate at North Carolina State University. I am originally from Cincinnati, Ohio and I earned my B.S. in Applied Mathematics and B.S. in Statistics from North Carolina State University in 2024. 

As part of the statistical consulting program at NCSU, I served as a statistical consultant on an applied entomology project for the NCSU IPM (Integrated Pest Management) Extension, analyzing phenological patterns of armored scale insects in Western North Carolina Fraser fir Christmas tree production. My team and I developed and compared count regression models to characterize pest life-stage dynamics and identify optimal pesticide treatment using growing degree days as a biological predictor. Our manuscript was presented by our client at the Association of Natural Resource Extension Professionals 15th Biennial Conference (ANREP).

I had a great time at the Integrative Sciences Symposium supporting all of the T32 training programs at NC State. It was energizing to hear about the wide range of research happening across the different programs and to see how much collaboration is taking place. I especially enjoyed connecting with my colleagues from the Biostatistical CVD Research team and learning more about the impactful work they’re leading.
