I am Assistant Professor of Economics at Heinrich-Heine University Düsseldorf and the Düsseldorf Institute for Competition Economics (DICE). I am also affiliated to IZA, CReAM, and CESifo.

My research focuses on policy-relevant questions at the intersection of labor, public and urban economics. In ongoing projects, I analyze the effects of business taxation on establishments' innovation activities and the impact of mandated fiscal consolidation on local policy setting.
