I am Professor of International Economics at TU Dortmund. I am also affiliated to CESifo, CReAM, DICE and IZA.

My research focuses on policy-relevant questions at the intersection of public, urban, international and labor economics. In ongoing projects, I analyze the effects of business taxation on establishments' innovation activities and the impact of mandated fiscal consolidation on local policy setting.
