A short research report containing the work carried out during the 21st Semaine d’Étude Maths-Entreprise held at the University Paris-Cité in September 2017. The principle of the SEME week is to put together academic researchers and enterprises to solve small interesting problems coming from industry.

A report accounting for the work done during my Master’s internship at Sorbonne University, from September 2014 to February 2015, under the supervision of Laurent Boudin and Bérénice Grec.

In order to earn the B.Sc. degree in Italy, a student must write a non-research dissertation on a somewhat involved topic which was not covered in the Bachelor’s courses. My work, supervised by Ludovico Pernazza, dealt with the celebrated Prime Number Theorem, independently proved by Jacques Hadamard and Charles Jean de la Vallée Poussin in 1896. Be aware though, it is written in italian!

it forces on the would-be solver. ”
