My music is an eulogy of slowness: in such a frenetic, highly competitive, nearly neurotic world, sometimes it is necessary slowing down for a short while, and dedicate some of our time to reflection and contemplation. Quoting Arthur Schopenhauer: “Keep silence around you, and something good will come".After graduating in piano and in composition at the “Giuseppe Verdi” Conservatory of Turin (IT), Andrea Turchetto has been involved in an intense concert activity mainly, but not only, as an accompanist for opera singers. He also gained a significant experience as a choirmaster over the years. In more than five hundred concerts performed in different venues both in Italy and abroad, he had the chance of collaborating with several well-known artists, such as Katia Ricciarelli, Fiorenza Cossotto, Giuseppe Taddei and Ambrogio Maestri. In 2004 he has been involved as choirmaster in the recordings of the “Verdi – cori celebri” volume with the “Italian Opera Company”. The volume is published under the Italian label Ricordi.
