My research lies at the intersection of political economy and economic history. I study how the characteristics of political leaders and the institutional environment in which they operate shape the provision of public goods and influence long-run economic development. More broadly, I am interested in the political and historical determinants of prosperity, and in how policies, institutions, and collective decisions shape societies.
I will complete my Ph.D. in Economics at the University of Geneva in 2026 under the supervision of Jérémy Laurent-Lucchetti.
I visited Bocconi University, hosted by Mara Squicciarini in Spring 2025.
