PhD in Plasmon Nanotechnology at Italian Institute of Technology (IIT) – Genova

Thesis work: I developed a new transmission band pass filter scalable at a single pixel dimension working into the mid-infrared spectral region, and I created a new versatile low-cost high-resolution maskless optical lithographic technique based on a single micro-sphere embedded into an AFM cantilever.

2010/2012

Master Degree in Astrophysics and Cosmology at the University of Bologna

Thesis Work: I studied the thermal performance of the balloon cryostat used for the LSPE experiment. It has been specifically designed to collect information from the Cosmic Microwave Background polarization.
