My name is Andrea Jacassi and I am working as Data Scientist at Var Group, Italy. I have a PhD in Nanotechnology and a deep experience in working on data analysis and in a lab.

My research work brought me to develop several multidisciplinary skills, and I learned to be flexible and to adapt my expertise to respond to a broad range of different requirements.

I learnt to acquire and analyse large data sets: the extraction of meaningful information from a huge bulk of data is a mandatory skill in research and I created my own codes to solve this task.​

I have created a deep learning algorithms with multiple purposes, for instance one can be used to detect explosive materials from spectral data.

I have worked in a clean room and in a spectroscopic lab where I developed new top-down and bottom-up fabrication procedures, carrying out the actual samples fabrication and characterization as well.
