Task Description
It is an administrative and project management task, objectively facilitating all tasks and the targeted result. Responsible for the project website and coordination of scientific activities between participants.
It is the center for coordinating contacts between entities and individual participants, as well as for contact between members of the research team and project consultants.
It also has the objective of preparing, with the future members of the “RHM-wordlATwar” academic network, the evolution of the exploration project into a research and development project.
Deliverables and delivery dates
D01 - Coordination between institutions (FLUL, CINAV). Create conditions for a dynamic development of knowledge transfer, in terms of collecting bronze pieces in an underwater environment, with the aim of creating specific experimental knowledge about the preservation and dissemination of knowledge at an academic level. Create a website to publicize the activity.
D02 - Institutional Contacts with Museums, Interpretation Centers and Municipal Councils, for the institutional development of the Military History network of the History Center of the University of Lisbon. Develop new institutional contacts with the Military History Group of the History Center. Meetings with the Municipal Councils of Lisbon, Ponta Delgada, Almeida, Valença, Elvas and Porto.
D03 - Review of the work plan, calendar and adjustment of scheduled dates for missions.
D04 - Validation of the quality of the project in coordination with the University of Seville and the Federal University of Piauí. Progress report.
Task Description
The activity brings together the dissemination activities of the project and its initiatives. The production of temporary exhibitions is the most direct option to reach the general public and thus disseminate the important activity of building knowledge at the History Center of the University of Lisbon, but also to publicize ongoing research work. In this way, it seeks to contribute to a greater awareness of citizenship.
Expected Results
The execution of workshops and the seminar aim to bring researchers together in Lisbon, with the aim of motivating the participation of historians in the academic network and creating new research projects based on transnational teams.
Deliverables and delivery dates
D05 - Production of the project opening workshop. This will have as its starting point a working meeting to adjust the plan to the calendar of activities and availability of the institutions (Museums and Interpretation Centers) that collaborate with the project.
D06 - Production of temporary exhibition at the Navy Museum. Production of a temporary exhibition to publicize the project and include the cultural activity developed. Disclosure of new data.
D07 - Production of a temporary exhibition at the Military Museum of Lisbon. Production of a temporary exhibition to publicize the project and include the cultural activity developed. Disclosure of new data.
D08 - Production of the International Seminar. Under the theme “Contemporary Lines of Research, Historical-Military Heritage Network, Heritage Preservation” and with the collaboration of the University of Seville, the holding of an international seminar on heritage.
D09 - Publication of an article in a national magazine.
D10 - Publication of an article in an International magazine.
D11 - Communication at scientific meetings. Two communications will be made at national scientific meetings and one at an international scientific meeting.
Task Description
The missions are the basis for building the project. Their value is the possibility of creating strong ties that will allow the development of a work base for the development and expansion of the capacity of the History Center of the University of Lisbon, to intervene transversally in society and make the Military History Group of this center the nucleus international contact center.
In itself, military history has always been a theme that united or separated cultures, but it will also be a guiding line for interactions between peoples.
The missions will not only be interested in connecting researchers who are associated with different institutions with the University of Lisbon, but also use these same contacts (Museums and Municipalities) to bring Local History to a much better known level. National history is and will always be made up of local micro-histories.
As a result of the missions, it should be possible to add more national and foreign researchers to the Military History network and the History Center and create conditions to create a cycle of conferences with new protagonists and outside academic centers. Work with the same objective of contributing to the 2030 Agenda, SDG4.
