Andi Avila is a mathematics professor, U.S. Army veteran, and STEM advocate with more than a decade of experience in public education.

A disabled veteran and coma survivor, Andi draws upon her experiences in military service, education, and personal perseverance to create stories centered on resilience, curiosity, and courage.

She currently teaches mathematics at Hillsborough College.

Through fiction, Andi hopes to inspire young readers to explore STEM, think critically, and ask difficult questions about the future.
