Joni Anderson, BM, MM

I have been performing and teaching professionally in the Denver area for seventeen years and I perform regularly as the second horn in the Littleton Symphony Orchestra and fourth horn with Parker Symphony Orchestra. I received my Bachelors of Music degree in horn performance from Cornell College (IA) in 2008 and my Masters of Music from the Lamont School of Music (University of Denver) in 2010. I am also a current member of the National, Colorado, Denver, and Aurora music teacher's associations.

As an instructor, I have been directing elementary band classes in the Denver area for more than fifteen years across four schools. I currently teach 4th and 5th grade band classes at Slavens K-8 and private lessons online and in my studio. My students have been recognized participants in city and state honor band festivals, solo and ensemble competitions, and The Denver School of the Arts.

Some of my current projects include combining live performances with fixed media recordings, live looping music with a looping pedal, and arranging music for brass ensembles.
