Emilio Molina is the Head of R&D at BMAT, where he leads research efforts on various relevant topics for the music industry involving artificial intelligence, such as music monitoring (both exact audio and covers), music/non-music audio classification, and music metadata matching.
In recent years, his team has developed multiple audio and metadata-matching technologies now used worldwide by the music industry through BMAT's services and products. His team also collaborates with top-tier academic institutions, like the Music Technology Group in Barcelona, contributing to continuous advancements in state-of-the-art technologies in several fields.
He holds a PhD in Music Information Retrieval from the University of Málaga (Spain), a Master's in Sound and Music Technologies from Universitat Pompeu Fabra in Barcelona, and professional studies in classical piano from the Conservatori del Liceu in Barcelona.
María del Carmen Romero Ternero is a Computer Engineer with a PhD from the University of Seville. Her academic background includes specialized training in Business Management, Cybersecurity, and Cognitive Sciences.
Since 1999, she has been a member of the Electronic Technology and Industrial Computing Research Group, focusing on Artificial Intelligence and Cybersecurity applied to industry, health, and wellbeing. She is also a researcher at the Institute of Biomedicine of Seville (IBiS) and collaborates on multidisciplinary projects to promote female talent in STEM, development cooperation, and scientific outreach.

Dr. Mariano Gabitto
Mariano Gabitto is an Assistant Investigator at the Allen Institute for Brain Science. His research focuses on applying statistical and machine learning methods to uncover how gene and molecular networks within cells interact to generate the cellular diversity observed in the brain and how these cell types degenerate during neurological diseases.
Before joining the Allen Institute, Mariano was a research scientist at the Center for Computational Biology of the Flatiron Institute, part of the Simons Foundation, and at the Broad Institute of Harvard and MIT. He was also a visiting scientist in Mike Jordan's group at the University of California, Berkeley, where he developed Bayesian nonparametric methods for super-resolution imaging and deep generative models to represent single-cell information.
Mariano earned his PhD in Neuroscience at Columbia University in Charles Zuker's lab, where he collaborated with the groups of Liam Paninski and Larry Abbott.
