In the recently concluded People's Choice Awards of Wedding Suppliers Association of the Philippines (WSAP), more than a hundred wedding hosts all over the country were nominated for the said online popularity event. Support and votes were counted through corresponding points for each reaction, comment and share on Facebook. This voting activity lasted for a week and winners were announced on January 21, 2022.

With all happiness and great surprises, #ApplauseNCHeERs finished as TOP 20 under the Wedding Host Category! All thanks to my families, friends, co-suppliers, former and present clients for their support! It's a massive year-starter, indeed! Thank you to one and all!

On October 22, another gem was unveiled for every tourist and Ilocano to look forward during the holidays. Being the Saniata TiYlocos Sur 2017, this beauty queen is a well-rounded person, a credible public speaker, and a great co-hosting partner! So happy to be teamed with such talented people as her! Our Idol, Drew Arellano, has been one of the most prominent, adventurous and greatly followed Biyaheros in the country! He has gone to a lot of places to experience the FUN-tastic trends and tried different delicacies to show how rich our culture and traditions are! But due to existing quarantine protocols and work from home activities, our Idol wasn't able to visit. Instead, he called his far-away Laoag-based buddy, Ancher Cua, to be his Biyahero Correspondent and "clingy friend"!

The COVID-19 Pandemic has greatly affected the lives of our friends in the events industry. Most bookings were cancelled and some have decided to postpone it to a later date or until the Community Quarantine has been lifted. But a few also took the courage to celebrate their worthwhile occasions as we embrace the new normal and have taken the necessary precautions in organizing these events. Ancher Cua together with the strong team of event suppliers accepted the challenge as this is a way of giving hope to the industry and that for one step a time, we will slowly and surely go back to the old normal.

Despite the provision of mass gathering policies, marketing and promotional events of companies such as Robinsons Malls have strategically transitioned to the digital or online space. This is to ensure their consistent presence in the locality and distant locations as to the promotion of products and services. As such, event hosts are now part of the new normal activities to make online gatherings more entertaining and interactive with viewers.
