osh Anav Obituary

Josh Anav, 86, passed away December 28, 2024 with his family by his side.

Josh was born in Tel Aviv, Israel and formerly of Bayonne before moving to Bridgewater in 1990. He was employed as a printer for Jersey Printing Company and several other companies for 20 years, retiring in 2003. Josh was an Israeli Military Tank Commander. In his spare time, he enjoyed ping pong, movies, Marlon Brando, Maureen O’Hara, Banjo, country music, and especially spending time with his family. Josh will be sadly missed by all.

Josh is predeceased by his sister Ilana Anav.

Surviving is his wife of 59 years, Esther, children Anat and Nava Anav (Eric Smidt), siblings Avraham, Eric, and Avigdor, and two grandchildren Noa and Avery Smidt.

Funeral services will be 12 noon at Bruce C. VanArsdale Funeral Home,

111 N. Gaston Ave, Somerville. Interment will follow at Temple Sholom Cemetery in Bridgewater.
