This Privacy Policy explains how Anavaras Inc. (“we,” “us,” “our”) collects, uses, and protects information when you use Anavaras, a mobile app that lets you view, place, and share augmented-reality (AR) content and optional safety or climate information.
By using Anavaras, you agree to this Policy and to the in-app Terms of Use, which include a zero-tolerance policy for objectionable content or abusive behavior.
Depending on your use and permissions, we may collect:
Account and Profile Data: Name, username, email, mobile number, and profile photo you provide.
Location Information: Approximate or precise location only when you manually choose to share it (see Section 8). Anavaras never shares your location automatically in the background.
User-Generated Content: AR objects, captions, comments, and any media you upload.
Device & Usage Data: Device type, OS version, language, analytics, crash, and diagnostic data.
Optional Contacts: If you choose to discover or connect with friends, with permission that can be revoked anytime.
We use the collected data to:
Provide and personalize AR and social features.
Display location-based AR content when you check in manually.
Maintain security, prevent abuse, and enforce our community rules.
Improve app reliability, performance, and user experience.
Communicate essential updates and policy notices.
Comply with applicable laws and legal obligations.
Climate, weather, or safety data displayed in Anavaras is for general reference only and may be delayed or inaccurate. Always confirm with official sources and emergency services. Anavaras is not a substitute for government alerts or emergency systems.
We do not sell personal data.
We may share limited information:
With trusted service providers (hosting, analytics, moderation) under strict confidentiality.
With SightEngine API, a third-party moderation service used to automatically detect and filter inappropriate or harmful images.
To comply with legal obligations or protect users, the public, or Anavaras.
In the event of a company merger, acquisition, or asset transfer.
You are solely responsible for the content you create and share in Anavaras. You agree not to post or share:
Illegal, threatening, harassing, defamatory, obscene, hateful, or discriminatory material.
Content that violates intellectual property or privacy rights.
Spam, impersonation, or fraudulent activity.
Moderation & Enforcement
All user-generated content is automatically screened by SightEngine API to detect objectionable images.
Users can report inappropriate content or behavior directly in the app.
If a post receives six reports, the related account is automatically deactivated pending review.
Reported content is reviewed by Anavaras staff within 24 hours; confirmed violations may result in permanent removal or account termination.
Users can also block others, preventing further interaction or visibility on the map.
Anavaras enforces a zero-tolerance policy for objectionable content or abusive users.
To protect user privacy:
Anavaras requests your explicit permission before accessing location.
You can decline or later revoke this permission in device settings.
Your location is never shared automatically.
To appear on the map, you must manually “Check In.”
A check-in lasts for a short, temporary period (e.g., 30 minutes) and then expires automatically.
Users may hide their location anytime by choosing “Stop Sharing.”
You can:
Manage permissions (location, contacts, camera, microphone) in system settings.
Access, correct, or request deletion of your data using in-app options or by contacting us.
Adjust visibility and sharing settings for your content and location.
Block or report other users who behave inappropriately.
Opt out of analytics or communications where applicable.
We retain personal data only as long as necessary to operate Anavaras, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements.
Upon deletion request, data is removed within a reasonable time unless retention is required by law.
Anavaras maintains a zero-tolerance policy toward any creation, sharing, or solicitation of CSAE (Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation). Any account involved in such activity will be permanently banned immediately and without prior notice. Violations related to the safety of minors are excluded from the standard appeals process. We also use a moderation engine to help detect and prevent such content, and we take strict enforcement action against any attempt to engage in this behavior.
Anavaras is not directed to children in jurisdictions where parental consent is legally required. We do not knowingly collect personal data from such users.
If a child’s personal data has been collected inadvertently, please contact us so we can remove it immediately.
We may update this Policy periodically. Material changes will be notified within the app or by other reasonable means. Continued use after updates indicates acceptance of the new terms.
