About Me

I am a creator of art and maps (among other things!). I love telling stories with both my art and my maps, especially stories about nature and the environment. So far, I have used my art and storytelling skills to write and illustrate two books; one about a famous captive orca, and one which takes readers on a journey through the seasons of a forest. I have also created several illustrated map projects, combining art and maps, and other geographic visualizations. My goal is to use art and maps to help people understand and appreciate their world, and I hope to create many more projects in the future.

I am a graduate of the University of Arizona, where I earned a BA in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology and a BS in Geography with a concentration in GIS. You can find me on Instagram @swan.intheclouds, where I regularly share my art, and you can view my resume here.
