Orcas have historically been captured and held in captivity in many places around the world, and this Story Map (linked below) depicts their history. It includes several maps detailing the journey of early individual captive orcas, along with an interactive map showing capture locations around the world, flow maps showing the destinations of captured orcas, and more. The Story Map finishes with an interactive, multi-layer map showing all the data used in this project (excluding data from the individual journeys), which can be viewed in more detail as a standard ArcGIS Online map.
