spices, seasonings
spices, seasonings
Moving through grief processing greed, rituals of primitive transcendence, intimacy in the sacred, slowness/intention as protest to chaos siphoning
spices, seasonings.
Spices, seasonings—seasons.
Life is a series of entering and exiting moments. Creating, accessing and conflicting with sensations. How to savor the flavors—the moments of transition. Extending, combining, designing a new palette..stuck in the present participle…
Time withers away the old. Determining the expiration dates.
Metamorphosis—shedding gets ugly.
Where lies the shame of becoming?
What decays
Spice diaspora.
The seasoning can change the entire experience. Perspective—textures designed
1. Score: Memory of the Flavor
Theme: Savoring the Ephemeral
Challenge: Hold onto a sensation — a smell, a taste, a gesture — longer than it wants to stay. Whisper it to someone else through movement.
Verbs: drift / preserve
(Visuals: slow dissolves, time loops, ghosted gestures, color fading or layering with warmth)
2. Score: Flux & Alienation
Theme: Becoming Unfamiliar to Find Safety
Challenge: Make the space unfamiliar. Move as if it’s your first time here. Rearrange the light or objects. Speak a non-verbal language. Let your spine sniff the weird moment and let your skin render the unique sensations in time travel.
Verbs: displace / soften
(Visuals: abstract textures mutating, shifting contours of space, edges blurring then clarifying)
3. Score: Meditation in Three Planes
Theme: The Body as a Vessel of Time
Challenge: Explore stillness in sitting, standing, and lying. Where does weight shift? What parts remain untouched?
Verbs: contain / echo
(Visuals: pulsating gradients, shadow-maps of the body, soft reverberation of outlines)
4. Score: Touch and Partnering
Theme: Shared Gravity
Challenge: Share your weight without collapsing. Draw on each other. Write a non-linear story on skin, with trust. Understand our bodies
Verbs: intertwine / suspend
(Visuals: intertwined threads, ripple reactions, dual forms mapping pressure points)
5. Score: Rave Frequency / Ritual Movement
Theme: Primitive Future – Slowness as Protest
Challenge: Dance a grief ritual. Move as if seasoning a space with your sweat, dreams, and losses. Let your pulse be a presence for the collective transitions.
Verbs: pulse / unravel
(Visuals: granular motion, spice particles in slow explosion, solarized faces in trance, heat maps breathing)
(score 3-5 can be repeated if needed)

Poem for the Closing
We move to remember.
We slow down to listen.
We sweat to season the ground.
We unravel to find the seeds inside.
We breathe for each other.
We leave traces soft enough to grow.
