Electromagnetic Theory is generally regarded by students as one of the most difficult courses. But this can be proved wrong if you use the following way since it is said "Prevention is better than cure". From my experience, if you adhere the following steps, it will help you to perform to the best of your ability.
- Pay explicit attention to the first part of the course on "Vector Algebra & Coordinate Geometry", the mathematical tool for the course. Without complete understanding of this section, you may face the problem in the remaining topics.
- Do not mug up all the formulas. Remember only the basic ones and derive the rest using basic ones. Try to relate the formulas. All formulae have their own limitations owing the assumptions made in deriving it. Be aware of those assumptions and use the formula.
- "Practice makes the man Perfect". So practice as many problems as you can as it will help in formulating the clear concepts, understanding and the applications.
