Ana Melissa Pérez Castaño

I am a PhD candidate in the Department of Applied Economics at the University of Minnesota. I also hold a bachelor's and master's degree in Economics. I will be on the job market during Fall 2025/Spring 2026. 

My research interests include health economics, development, and agricultural economics. Currently, I work as a Research Assistant in the Department of Applied Economics at the University of Minnesota.

My previous work experience includes a graduate internship at the Pan American Health Organization, three years as a junior researcher at the Center for Studies in Social Protection and Health Economics (PROESA), and a position at the International Center for Tropical Agriculture.
