Ana Letícia Simal, MSc

Hello and welcome! (:

My name is Ana Letícia Simal (she/her, they/them), a first-year PhD student in the Descalzi Lab at the Ontario Veterinary College - University of Guelph. 

I earned my Master’s degree in Plant Biology in 2016, and my Biological Sciences major in 2013, both at the Federal University of Mato Grosso do Sul, Brazil. Besides having a Plant Biology master's degree, my research background is mainly in molecular biology and genetics.

My current PhD research is a combination of behavior, molecular biology, and chronic pain.
