Joohoon Kim is a professor in the Department of Chemistry at Kyung Hee University. He earned his BS and MS degrees from Seoul National University (Department of Chemistry Education and Department of Chemistry, respectively, Korea), and completed his PhD at the University of Texas at Austin (Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry, USA) in 2007. After finishing his PhD, he moved to the University of Chicago (Department of Chemistry, USA) and worked as a postdoctoral research fellow until February 2009. Since then, he has been conducting research at Kyung Hee University (Department of Chemistry, Korea). His current research interests include the synthesis and applications of nanomaterials in electrochemistry for chemo/bio-analysis and catalysis, with a particular focus on spectroelectrochemical sensing and hydrogen energy.
