By uniting other Global Scholars Program members with a similar desire to strengthen ties across international and domestic borders at Bolles, we created a GSP ResLife group. We worked with the Director of Residential Life and began interviewing boarders, inviting them to share their stories with other students, faculty, and ourselves. Topics ranged from their cultural attire, food, and traditions to consumer habits, relationship with art, and reasons for choosing to board. These conversations generated insight into the boarders beyond just knowing their home country or state. We provided boarders a platform to share their culture and perspective, so that the school community could learn from and connect with them.
