However, I have an error message towards the end of the installation where I receive a pop up window saying: Failed to create Anaconda menus and then another one saying Failed to add Anaconda to the system PATH.

Tried this as well, using 5.0.0 and 4.4.0 installer, tried as local user, admin user, install as administrator, clicked the "add to path", but none of these worked. Every time I got the same "failed to install menus"

Before reporting this question as a duplicate (such as of this one), please note that I am not asking instructions on how to create desktop launchers. I have searched a zillion times through several online forums in order to find a solution, but I have failed.

I had successfully installed Spyder thru a clone environment and it had been working until I updated to ArcGIS Pro 2.5 and then had a type mismatch in the clone environment. I was able to create a new clone and added the spyder package again similar to before thru the 'add package' within ArcGIS Pro. (your steps above). However now when I go click on the spyder.exe in my Users file path (same as before), I'm getting an error, "This application failed to start because it could not find or load the Qt platform plugin "windows" in "". Reinstalling the application may fix this problem."

I am trying to install a rhel9 system (vm) with a kickstart file.

The kickstart file was created using the anaconda-ks.cfg from a manual install of a previous rhel9 system (changed the ks file with new ip addres, hostname and the disk size).

The installation won't start. e24fc04721
