She used to prefer working alone and it would have stayed that way if she hadn't been forced to pair up with Claec for a high profile assassination that ended up being a trap. After being forced to rely on someone else she is now begrudgingly co-dependent with him. Deep down she secretly loves and cares for him and desperately wants to live a peaceful life with her beloved mate, but she would never admit that and would rather maintain their current life for fear of him rejecting her.
